Michael Fitzgerald Kutzmonich, 72, returned to the Lord peacefully while surrounded by close family on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown Pennsylvania. Mike successfully battled several health issues over the last few years and finally succumbed to his illnesses.
Mike was the son of the late Michael and Rose (Ceaser) Kutzmonich, raised in Dorrance, Pennsylvania and graduated from Crestwood High School in Mountain Top. He then attained an associate's degree from Penn State, followed by a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in Electrical Engineering.
Mike married Carol (Coakley) of Nescopeck, his loving wife of 52 years, moved to North Wales where Mike worked for Leeds and Northrop Company for 15 years. Later the family moved to Barto. Mike left engineering and started up his own financial services business based out of Allentown, rising to the rank of National Sales Director for Primerica Financial Services.
Mike was man with a big personality who heartedly relished family, people, and interests. All were invited and took part in his many large picnics, golf outings, and Penn State football tailgates. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, camping, fishing, boating, golfing and horseback riding. Mike served his community as the Hereford Township Code Enforcement Officer, President of Blue Spruce Riding Club, Eucharistic Minister and Lenten Fish Fry Originator at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Bally, member of Bally Fire Company, and Dorrance Fire Company in his youth.
Mike is survived by his wife Carol, son Michael and daughter Joanne (Brodt), daughter-in-law Kristin (Baine) and son-in-law David Brodt, grandchildren Michael, Victoria, and Erin Kutzmonich. Sister Rosemary, wife of David Myers of Dorrance, sister Dorothy, wife of Paul Peters of Slocum, and sister Bernadette, wife of Bill Schabener of Mountain Top, and is blessed with a large and loving extended family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 610 Pine St. Bally, Pennsylvania 19503 on Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 am, with a calling hour beginning at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Michael's name to the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
Mike’s final inurnment will be in Dorrance, Pennsylvania at a later date.
