Gerald R. "Wimpy" Werner

Born in Boyertown, he was a son of the late Verdie M. (Moser) and Warren F. Werner, Sr., owners of the Boyertown IGA Grocery Store.

Gerald was a graduate of Boyertown Area High School class of 1959. He was the owner and operator of Werner’s Janitorial Services for over 30 years until his retirement in 2013.

He was past Assistant Fire Chief of Keystone Fire Company and was a social member of the Bally, Bechtelsville, Keystone, Liberty of New Berlinville, Friendship Hook & Ladder, Boyertown, Gilbertsville and West End Fire Companies. He was a member of the Boyertown Orioles and Gabelsville AA Club.

Gerald is survived by his children, Robert B. husband of Maria Werner of Stowe and Stacey R. (Werner) wife of Frank Marino of Holland; a brother, Warren F. Jr. husband of Donna Werner of Pottstown. He is also survived by three grandchildren, James, Michael and Aleesa Werner.

Funeral Services will be held at Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 45 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.
