His wife Eleanor B. Lentz preceded him in death earlier this year. They had been married for 74 years.
He is survived by his son Barry Lentz, wife Donna, and daughter Bonnie Lynn Fuller, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Irma, Betty, and Doris.
George graduated from North Wales High School, Williamson Trade School and later received a teaching degree from Temple University.
He was a World War II Veteran with the 385th Bomb Group. He was the top turret gunner on a B-17 Bomber.
After the war he started his own Painting Contracting Business which has run continuously for the past 77 years through his son and now grandson.
After retiring from painting he worked at Ambler Chemical and taught shop class at Graterford Correctional Institution for 17 years.
He had a long and healthy life will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held August 6, 2022, 11:00 at the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge, 1601 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19481.
