Emily "Emy" G. Zern

Born in Barto, PA. She was a daughter of the late Grace N. (Masemore) and Russell C. Latshaw.

Emily was employed as a medical technician for Dr. Delp before she was married. Later she worked in the family business for many years as a secretary and as a right hand alongside her husband. Later she went back to working for Dr. Delp which later became Boyertown Medical Associates until 2002.

She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel, Bechtelsville. Emily also served as a Sunday school teacher, as a member of the choir for 50 years, a confirmation teacher and as a director of vacation bible school.

Emily is survived by her children, Betsy S. wife of Craig Fritz of Gilbertsville and Annette L. “Nettie” Zern of Rome, PA. Grandchildren, Matthew A. husband of Erin Fritz of Gilbertsville, Alicia M. Fritz of Gilbertsville, Travis E. husband of Marissa Geiser of Coatesville and Nikolaus W. Geiser of Rome, PA. Great Grandchildren, Aspen B. Deems, Owen R. Fritz, Mason A. Fritz and a Geiser great grandchild on the way. A sister, Pastor Mary Etta Mest and a nephew, John Mest.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at Butter Valley Community Church 2600 Old Rte 100, Bally, PA. 19503 on Saturday November 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Emily’s name to KidSit and Open Arms at New Ridge Fellowship 2211 Swamp Pike Gilbertsville, PA. 19525 or contributions to Vacation Bible School at Butter Valley Community Church
