Born in Pottstown to the late Ruth M. (Gensemer) and Earl W. Fronheiser, he was the beloved husband of Gail E. (Schmocker) Fronheiser, to whom he was married for over 55 years. Dean is also survived by his children, Luke D. Fronheiser of Douglassville and Dr. Kate L.(Michael) Chaplinski of Havertown, grandchildren: Vethan J. Fronheiser, Anna J. Chaplinski, and Peter D. Chaplinski, a twin brother, Dale E.(Linda) Fronheiser of New Berlinville, and a sister, Susan R. (Edward) Crump of Boyertown.
Dean graduated from Boyertown High School in 1965 and then from Elizabethtown College with a degree in Accounting in 1969. He worked as a CPA in the financial field for over 20 years before becoming a small business owner of ECI Electronics Corp in Reading, PA for 11 years. No job was more enjoyable to Dean than his final one: the township tax collector, where he could get to know his neighbors more personally.
Dean loved spending as much time as possible at his beach condo in North Wildwood, New Jersey with his family and friends. He also was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and could remember and recite detailed statistics, especially in football and baseball. Dean is remembered as being a very gregarious and kind man with a constant warm smile and optimistic nature. He brought humor and fun to all gatherings, both big and small. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Dean was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Douglassville. Until recently, he was also a social member of the Amity Fire House.
