Born in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Virginia (Hampton) and Robert Michael Leach.
Bobby Joe was a welder for Exelon Power Plant, Limerick last working in 2017. He was a member of the Boiler Makers Union and was in the US Air Force during peacetime.
He enjoyed building bikes and cars and was an American car enthusiast.
Bobby Joe is survived by two sons, Robert J. Leach, Jr. of East Norriton and Cody M. Leach of Exeter Township; a granddaughter Caraline Leach of East Norriton; a nephew Shawn Leach of Norristown and numerous aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by a brother Michael Leach and a niece Danielle.
A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, PA. The Reverend Dr. Thomas E. Richards Jr., will officiate, who was the former pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tannersville, PA.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday between 12 – 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
