Anita J. DeFrain

Born in Long Swamp Twp., PA. She was a daughter of the late Minnie M. (Rothermel) and Harry H. Delp.

She was employed at the Great American Knitting Mills as a Looper working at the Factory and at home. She also answered phones for the family business Anita’s favorite pastime was traveling the country with her family.

Anita was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown.

Surviving with her husband of 59 years are her children, Susan A. widow of William Kane of Hereford. Pamela R. DeFrain of Boyertown. Lori A. DeFrain companion of Gerald Watts of Harleysville and Philip B. DeFrain of New Berlinville.Grandchildren, Lisa (Delp) Mutter, Kevin C. Alting, Hilda M. Wilson, William G. Kane, Jason Kane, Timothy Kane, Jennifer DeFrain-Billger, Julie M. DeFrain and Ronald B. DeFrain. Great Grandchildren, Joseph Kane, Sara Kane, Samantha Kane, Kaitlin Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Corbin Mutter, Lucas Mutter and Dakota Alting. A sister Shirley Greiss of Gilbertsville. Anita is predeceased by 2 sons, Jeffrey A. DeFrain in 2009 and Errol K. Delp in 1975 and her step brother, Herman Smith in 1999.

Funeral Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Hertzog-Rauch Cemetery.
