Robert "Bob’" Mancuso is survived by sons Anthony, Robert and John and daughter Melissa. He is grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Aaron, Nino, Vincenzo, Dante, Ariel, John, Jesse, Robert, Kennedy, and Sunny Day, and 4 great-grandchildren: Brantley, Isabella, Luciano and Sophia, whom he is eternally proud of. Bob has many nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly.
Born in Buffalo, NY, Bob worked in the automotive industry. He spent 35 years living in Florida before moving back to be with his family in 2017. Very generous to both humans and animals, Bob has entered into the care of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Bob had friends wherever he went, and made people laugh. He rescued countless dogs through his lifetime, investing in vet bills for strays, and neutering feral cats for years. Bob never needed thanks, and many of his generous acts were done anonymously. He loved to play pool, which was a continuous hobby through his life. He was proud of his Sicilian heritage, and never turned down a meatball. Bob was an artist beginning in the 1950’s, and his favorite medium was acrylic paints. He painted beautiful landscapes, sailboats, waterfalls and more. If you are lucky enough to have a Bob Mancuso original, you were surely loved.
Bob saw the good in people. He assisted many friends in need, and often found odd jobs at his car lots to help those in bad circumstances generate their own income. He explained this employment would help those in need feel empowered and not like charity cases. Bob had an unyielding way to maintain the dignity of those he was assisting. He taught his kids to treat others the way they wanted to be treated; another unforgettable Bob tenet.
Bob was a listening ear to so many, and never rushed a conversation. He was a compassionate listener. We could all be more like Bob. He enjoyed simple things, like chit chatting, petting dogs, and eating ice cream. And boy, could he eat ice cream.
Bob was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, and constant supporter. His friends in Florida lovingly nicknamed him Buffalo Bob. He at one time drove a van with a hand painted Bills helmet on it, and always defended his team while driving around in south Florida. It feels right for the Bills to bring home a Superbowl win this season. Josh Allen, Sean McDermott, please hear our cry.
Bob’s memory will live on forever, and his remarkable generosity will be his legacy. His kids can’t wait to see him on the other side, and we know he had open arms and paws waiting for him at Heaven’s Gates. He offered us all peace as we needed it, and we are grateful for his love and guidance through life. We know he will be with us forevermore.
In any mindful moments, please send loving wishes to Bob and the family that misses him so much. He was our Protector, and will remain so.
