Harold "Bud" J. Hess

May 17, 2020, of Bowmansville, NY, beloved husband of Emmylou (Endres) Hess; father of David (Beth Ann) Hess, Jennifer Vacanti and Rebecca (Mike) Sievers; grandfather of Austin and Colin Hess, Shawn and Nick Vacanti and Brandon Smith, Mitchel, Rachael and Tyler Sievers; great-grandfather of Aubrey Sievers. He was the brother of the late Jean (William ) Coffed, Joan (the late Donald) Miller and Robert

(Sally) Hess; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was well respected by many and was often

asked for tools or help with mechanical projects. To many of his friends he was known as the “unofficial mayor of Bowmansville” because he knew so many and had plenty of stories to tell. He was a paperboy, owned a gas station at the corner of Genesee and Transit with his brother, was a volunteer firefighter in Bowmansville and served in the United States Army in Germany.
