Fred Chapman was a family man who loved Rita his beloved wife of 40 years, his children, step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr Chapman taught at several schools in Western New York over a 30 year career. He retired from Buffalo State University as the Director of Academic Standards, a position he held for 15 years. Mr. Chapman retired with his wife Rita, also a Buffalo State employee, on the same day in 1993
Mr Chapman served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
A talented painter, a cook, (making bread and pizza were his specialties) also an accomplished piano player, Mr Chapman is survived by his wife Rita and his 3 sons, Mark (Donna), Barth (Janine) and Drew (Lisa) and step children John and Diane Piccillo.
Memorial services will be private.
