Ed Murlatt both friend and colleague.
I remember when we would call him Mr. Ed he would always sound like the talking horse on the sit com of many years back
When we had an RF system fail here in Raleigh, Ed came to fix it. A leak had developed in the waveguide RF system and filled it with a glycol water mix that made a mess. Ed took it apart and took it to the local car wash and turned the hoses on it much to the horror of the owners of the station that had paid much money for that system years back. He had the system back up and working properly in record time and it worked properly until it was  decommission when analog TV was turn off.

Ed was one of Kind a great friend and mentor. We will miss his wit and wisdom he shared over the years!

Ed was a great friend and mentor.  I not only learned a lot of engineering from him but also from great sense humor and love off life. WE will miss as friend and teacher.

Ed was a very good friend and neighbor. He was always cheerful and helpful. We were especially grateful to Ed and Linda for lending us a comfortable crate for our grand dog Copley when she often came with her family from out of town.
Rest in peace, Ed. We’ll miss you.

From a guy that was relatively new to broadcast engineering, I can't say enough about how generous and patient Ed was with me.  He always took time out of his day to help me troubleshoot and explain when I didn't understand things.  He was never too busy for anyone.  And he never missed an opportunity to add some humor to the situation with a good one-liner.

My sincere condolences to Linda and the family.  Ed will be greatly missed by many folks.

Ed is the kindest soul, amazing backyard BBQ master, neighbor and most importantly, friend.  Moving into the neighborhood over 22 years ago, Ed and Linda were one of the first to make friends with us.  Over the years we have MORE than benefited from their friendship.  Ed was always helpful and kind.  If you didn't get out fast enough on a snowy day, Ed would have snow blown your sidewalks for you.  Ed always took time to treat our children like his own.  They will miss the fun they had with Ed and the pups!  We will forever miss the delicious smells coming over the fence from their backyard grill and the treats Ed would send our way.  Most of all I will miss the daily chats with Ed when we'd see each other on a walk or out front of our houses - dog always in hand.  LuLu always kept a keen eye out for Ed to insure she got her daily lovin'!  We could not feel more blessed and thankful to have known such a wonderful person who we are privileged to call a friend.  Our hearts are forever broken, but we know Ed is running with all the dogs (Molson, Cruiser and Cal!) up in heaven watching over us all.   Our sincere condolences to Linda, Deana and the entire family.  We can only imagine your grief, but hope you are comforted by your memories.

Rascheida and I have known Ed and Linda for a very long time - going back to the years we both lived in Tennessee. We became good friends since those years and kept in touch. We are deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Our thoughts and prayed are with his loving wife Linda and the rest of the family. 
My remembrance of Ed is that he was a very smart and dedicated engineer who was also very well versed in numerous non-technical subjects. It was always a pleasure for me to talk with Ed and I admired him for his vast knowledge and interests in various subject matters as well as his engineering skills and expertise.  May he rest in peace.

Ed helped me get started in RF field service. He was a super smart engineer. I won't forget the fond memories I have of the times we worked together. He was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I will miss his friendship.

To Linda and all of his family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts will be with you through this difficult time.

	On the bright side. Ed was a fixture in the world of analyzing data and always was eager to assist all when there were issues in RF systems that didn't make sense. He has helped me and ERI with many projects and taught all of us the right way to do things. His loss and expertise will be missed throughout our industry.

As a neighbor I will miss Ed every time the snow needs shoveling or the grass needs cutting. They were times to stop and say a long hello. Ed was so interesting, kind and intelligent. I kick myself for not taking more advantage of those opportunities. He was always ready to help with a hand, a tool, or some advice. Just a wonderful person. Didn’t realize how empty the street is now without him. My love and sorrow to his family.

I was lucky to have known Ed for over a decade.  We met at NAB over the years and had many great conversations about the technology in broadcast.  He was a good friend and will be missed.  I am so sorry for your loss and you have my deepest sympathies.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed on many of his field trips to do field sweeps for the broadcast industry.  We had many encounters at the NAB shows in Las Vegas as well.  Ed was a fantastic man and loved what he was doing.  He will be missed by so many and hopefully with time the memories of him will bring a smile to your face.  The world was a better place for having Ed be part of it.

To the Murlatt family, I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort during this difficult time in sharing good memories with each other. My thoughts are with all of you.
