Denton A. Rock- Age 70 , 6/4/1951-1/21/2022 After a long battle with heart disease and 70 years of living life to the fullest, Denton went on to his heavenly gig. With a dynamic, unforgettable personality, Denton was loved and will be fondly remembered by all of his family, friends and fans. Guitar in hand, Denton put smiles on faces and dancing shoes on even those with two left feet. If he wasn’t singing and playing his guitar with his brothers, Denton enjoyed and loved hunting and fishing. Survived by his loving wife, his darling Karen “tine”; children Lori Mazza (Steve), Rachel Rock, Donnet Rock (Jay) and Jeffery Rock (Megan); 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Kenny Rock (Connie), Gary Rock (Gloria), Darryl Rock (Jen), Johnny Rock, Jimmy Rock (Jeanine) Rick Rock (Holley), and Danny Rock (Chrissy); sisters Bev Quinn, Peggy Parsons (Mike), Susie McCrossen (Doug “Fuzzy”), Missy Rock (Peter), Lynda Purcel (Cliff), and Uncle Vincent Sharkey (Melody) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and fans. Predeceased by his parents, Angie (Ma) Burger, Clarence Rock, sister Kathy Rock, First wife Carol Rock and Great-granddaughter Amelia Ravenell. A hoedown fit for a true red-neck will be held in Denton’s honor this spring at the Dalton Gang Club in Dalton NY.
