William G. Schneider age 78, born in Evanston Illinois, raised in San Diego CA., U.S. Air Force Veteran, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. He and his wife Irene were married in 1979. He was an avid fan of all sports, especially Baseball, & Football. He was a coach of American Legion Baseball Team & local Boys & Girls Clubs. He co-lead a Morning Pray Call Ministry 6 days a week, for 7 years with his wife, Irene, under St. Matthew’s UMC, in Bowie and participated in their Disaster Relief, Volunteers In Mission and Disciple Bible Study Programs. Bill had a long successful career in the Information Technology Industry and final career as a produce manager for Giant Food. Bill’s passion was his Faith and Family, he adored his wife, children, and grandchildren, centering his life around all in his every move. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a friend to many.
He is survived by, his wife, Irene M. Schneider, Stephanie Merrill (Kevin), daughter, Joey Altomare (Lisa) son, Troy Altomare (Keri) son, Joe Livermore (Laurie) son, Grandsons, KJ Merrill, Shayne Altomare, soon to be Billy (Lena) Huggins, Granddaughters, Rhiannon Merrill, Sophia Altomare, soon to be Piper Poole. His sister Alice Schneider Mickschl, Nephew; Alexander Mickschl (Tara), Nieces; Sharon Mickschl Trimble (Matt), Rene (Scott) Maygers & Dawn (Brian) Kuss, and their children, Ben, Olivia, Rachel, & Kristen. Brother & Sister in-law Ed & Fran Sauers, and Bills dog Sammy.
Preceded in death by parents William F & Adella Schneider, Sister, Mary Kay Schneider, Sister Patricia Schneider of the Benedictine Order of Nuns, Alice & Walter Rayner-mother & father in-law, and nephew Charles E Sauers Jr.
Funeral services: Thursday, June 23, 2022, 12:00 noon at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland. Private interment service to follow at the Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Md. Friends and Family are invited to attend a gathering from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the American Legion Hall, 9605 Old Laurel Bowie Road, Bowie Md.
