Robert Wayne White, Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) White, Sr., founder of EMCO (Elevator Modernization Company, Inc.). This is a great loss to all of us. He was admired and respected by so many and will be sorely missed.

As a visionary of the elevator trade, in 1979, Bob paved the way for new and innovative advancements within the elevator industry. It was this vision that served as the foundation to building the premier fabricator company that EMCO is today. Bob never backed down from a challenge, relentlessly pushed the limits, and always placed the customer first. Bob’s unwavering work ethic, instilled within the company culture, will live on. He positively impacted many peoples lives, and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A memorial gathering for Robert will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. A memorial service will occur Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
