Robert Francis Gordon, Sr.

Robert F. Gordon, Sr. (Bob) of Bowie, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Robert was the devoted husband of the late Eileen V. Gordon and loving father of Robert F. Gordon, Jr. (wife Sue), Christopher J. Gordon (wife Sandy) and Philip J. Gordon (wife Laurie); brother of the late Herbert Gordon. Bob is survived by his 11 grandchildren who all adored him. Bob served in both the US Air Force and Navy for 22 yrs. After military retirement he was a project manager for the D.C. Govt. Dept of Design and Engineering where he was project manager for the construction of the original Washington Convention Center. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland 20715 on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel, Bowie, Maryland. Interment will follow at the Church cemetery.
