Rick was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on March 29, 1948, preceding in death of parents John and Mary. Rick wore many hats, serving as a private in the US Marine Corps and as a detective in the Montgomery County police department, and as a private in special operations for the Prince George’s County police department. Rick also worked in loss prevention for the Southland Corporation and JC Penny’s.
Rick was a lover of God, American patriotism, and his dogs Bella and Beau. Rick spent his time watching the news with his dogs on his lap. He would do anything he could to help his loved ones and was always sharing his sense of humor. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling to bed and breakfasts with his wife and going out dancing on the weekends.
Rick was survived by his wife Patricia, sons Ricky and Paul, daughters Michelle and Christine as well as his siblings, John, James, Gwen, Lisa, Evan, and Kevin. He had eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Windi, Nicole, Chase, Kayla, Aaron, Nikill, and Rohitt, and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Sawyer, Mason, and Cali Sue.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation for Rick, held Monday, May 23, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
