Michael Hickey

July 16, 1958 - December 6, 2020

Michael was born in Massachusetts to Mary L Powers Hickey and James A. Hickey Jr. (Both deceased)/

As a child, he and his family moved to Bowie MD where he graduated from Bowie High School and attended

University of Maryland.

Michael was a Volunteer Fireman since the 80's with the Berwyn Heights , Brandywine and Waldorf Fire

Stations, He was Involved with the Maryland Jaycees(Junior Chamber of Commerce) Crescent Cities, Bowie and Waldorf chapters. He achieved the rank of Admiral in the Fleet of the Chesapeake. He was involved in the automotive business most of his life. He loves Hockey CAPITALS, and Bruines, Orioles Baseball , and Was a Great fan of the Washington Football team (formally known as the WASHINGTON REDSKINS).

Michael affectionately known as "Santa" worked with the Scholars Pointe Academy and Scholars Pointe

University. Emphasis on kindness, respect, dignity of life and building respect culture in young mind as they

mature.

He is survived by Julianna Ruth Hafer Hickey, wife of 40 years, 2 sisters Kathleen Hickey and Patricia Hickey of Bowie, brother Kevin Hickey of Millersville. Numerous cousins and in-laws nieces, nephews, great nephews and great niece. Uncle Mike will be missed.
