No matter how late I am in signing this guest book, I just wanted to let the whole Atkinson family know how sorry I am at Mr. Atkinson's passing.  I lost my mom at the age of 88, this January, and I know how hard it is to say goodbye.  My sympathies to all in the family.  I do remember all of you fondly.

On behalf of our entire family, I want to let you know how sorry we are for your loss. Mr. Atkinson will always be a part of our home, not only because the work he did on it, but because of the care he showed us always. Thank you for letting us share in your love for him and for his love for you all through his pictoral tribute. His passing leaves a hole in all of our hearts, May God bless you all

Aggie, Gail and Jimmy...as you know, Jim was one of my closest friends and the times we spent together were always filled with the excitement that came with Jim’s enthusiastic and upbeat attitude in dealing with whatever situation we found ourselves involved in.
This made for many fun times whether on the ball field, in a group meeting at work or just “shooting the breeze” with the guys at lunch time or at happy hour. I’ll always appreciate that even though we all knew that Jim was smarter intellectually, more skilled and talented athletically and far stronger physically than any of us, he never took the many gifts he was blessed with as a means to make himself appear better than we were and in fact treated us as equals in every way. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and we hope that knowing that Jim is at peace with the Lord as he works out with the Celestial Baseball Team will bring you the comfort of His grace and enduring love.

A Good Neighbor

Dear Family,
What a beautiful display of photos!  I really enjoyed seeing all of you at different ages, you look so happy.  I know that Family was precious to Jim and that he savored all those moments I saw in your well presented slide show.  To say that he was a good man is just scratching the surface.  He was a highly intelligent man with a tremendous amount self determination, and pride.  He was a devoted son, a good brother, an avid sportsman, a faithful friend, an exceptional dad (to his children and their spouses), a loving husband and the best, best, best Pop-pop EVER!  It is very difficult to say good bye, we will miss him, but he will always be with us in spirit.  Oh what a fun ballgame he must be playing up there.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

I didn't know your dad but have heard wonderful things about him and Omi from Lisa. She invited me to visit your lovely photo tribute to him, and I'm so glad I did. We always looked forward to your parents visits. They were such a joy to be around and so very full of life. Jim showed us how to age without getting old.
