On Monday, September 19, 2022 of Bowie, MD., Husband of the late Jean Hannis, father of Jennifer Anderson (Richard) and Leslie Hannis. Grandfather to George and Rachel Anderson, sister of the late Betty Stein Swortwood and of the late George W. Hannis and Anna Daniel Hannis, his parents.
George worked and became the vice president of Giant Food, was a Korean War Veteran serving with the U.S. Air force and was a founding member of CCPC of Bowie. George will be remembered for his loving family, his faith, and his love of playing golf.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2-4 in the afternoon, at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home 16000 Annapolis Road Bowie, MD 20715
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Noon at the funeral home.
George will laid to rest next to his wife Jean, in Lakemont Memorial Gardens 900 W. Central Avenue Davidsonville, MD 21035
