FRANCINE BULLOCK
July 29, 1935~September 7, 2022
“The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?”
—Psalm 27:1
Francine Bullock “fought the good fight and finished the race,” on September 7, 2022. Francine’s parents, the late Queen Esther (Morris) and Jasper John Bullock of Mineral, Va. were blessed with four daughters: Maude (aka Newts), Sylvia , Evelyn, and Francine; and two sons: Jasper (aka Sonny), and David.
Raised in Harlem, Francine was educated in the New York City school system. She graduated from Rhodes High School. Because of Francine’s striking beauty, she won several beauty contests.
Francine married Leroy Turner and the couple raised their two children, Michael and Shelly, in the Bronx, NY.
Francine accepted Christ and was baptized on January 9, 2005, in her home church Mt. Gilliam Old Site Baptist Church.
Francine held various positions in New York where she lived for most of life before moving to Maryland in 1986 to live with her daughter and best friend. She loved the casino, shopping and traveling.
When Francine became ill, Shelly cared for her in a miraculous way until her passing.
Francine was a caring person who loved and appreciated life. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces and nephews, her grandchildren; Kevin, Sasha and Shilon and great grandchildren; Denise, Ryan, and Hannah.
A visitation for Francine will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
