Christine Lynch passed away on March 7, 2024, after a brief illness. She is survived by her beloved son, Zachary Lynch, mother, Margaret J. Lynch, twin sister, Cynthia Stone and brother, Gregory Lynch. She will also be missed by a nephew, brother-in-law, aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.
Crissy, as she was called by her family, was born in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 6, 1963. Col. Valentine F. Lynch and his wife Margaret J. Lynch fell in love with the twins, adopted them in 1964, named them Christine and Cynthia and brought the girls home to the United States. Christine and Cynthia soon after became U.S. citizens. Crissy was a life-long resident of Ann Arundel County.
She graduated from Arundel High School where she was a talented flutist. She also graduated from Bowie State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology. She was especially interested in criminal justice. Crissy was a single parent of a special needs son, 35-year-old Zachary, who has autism and lives in a group home in Annapolis.
Christine’s career in hospitality included managerial positions in several Maryland restaurants. She was very accomplished at and loved her hobby of Bead Art. Crissy left an extensive collection of beautiful works of Bead Art, many dedicated to her son's love of baseball and local sports teams. Ms. Lynch is predeceased by her dad.
A memorial visitation for Christine will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie MD., 20715.
A Requiem mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Drive, Crofton, MD., 21114.
