Bonnie G. Lohfeld

Bonnie Grant Lohfeld, 90, of New Carrollton died Sunday, November 17, 2013. Loving Mother, Grandmother , and Great Grandmother .Beloved wife of the late Walter Louis Lohfeld. She served as a Gunny Sgt. in the Marine Corps in World War II and was one of the first females to serve in the Marine Corps. She was predeceased by son Michael Louis Lohfeld and brother Thomas Hubert Grant.

She is survived by her children, Robert Edgar Lohfeld of Edgewater, and Richard Grant Lohfeld of Crofton, she is survived by her grandchildren, Kristin Lohfeld Kohlmann of Gambrills, Karen Lohfeld Collins of Severna Park, Robert Lohfeld, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA, Amy Lohfeld Secrist of Leesburg, VA, Richard Lohfeld II of Crofton, Andrew Lohfeld of Philadelphia PA and great grandchildren, Ryan Slater, Alex and Abby Collins, Caitlin, Alexis and Austin Lohfeld, and Courtney and Connor Secrist.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20 at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD 20715 from 10 am until the time of the service at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
