She was the daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Melville) Lynch of Boston, MA. Susan grew up in Brighton, MA and had previously lived in Plymouth and Rowley, MA. She was the beloved wife of Paul Tudor and the loving mother of Paula Tudor of Guilford, VT, Jonathan Tudor of Newmarket, NH and Anthony Tudor of Providence, RI. In addition to the late Barry Tudor of Los Angeles, CA.
She was a devoted grandmother to Jonathan, Harry, Charles and Braxton Tudor and Zoe Atkin. Her great granddaughter Madeline Johnson was a joy to her. Susan is survived by her sisters Roberta Desmond of Salem, MA and Elaine Vandebogert of Peabody, MA plus a brother Robert Lynch of Naples, Fla. not to mention her many nieces and nephews who were a source of great happiness to her. She also leaves behind her dearest friend, Alice Shairs of Kennebunk, ME.
Susan was a graduate of Presentation Academy in Brighton, MA and Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. She retired from the Plymouth MA school system after teaching art for many years at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School. In her retirement years Susan was an avid knitter and enjoyed participating in the knitting group at the Bourne Community Center.
Visiting hours will be held at Nickerson- Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd ( Rt 28 ) Bourne, MA on Sunday February 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. A procession will take place from the funeral home to church, please arrive by 9:15am; for the Funeral Mass that will be celebrated on Monday February 27th at St John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd., Pocasset , MA. at 10:00 AM. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA will follow.
