Shane Hoban was born on July 16,1992 too Paul and MyraBeth Hoban in South Boston. After Shane graduated from North Quincy High School in 2009, he went on to work in the Boston Laborers Union. He also worked for the Laborers Union in Philadelphia, and the Boston Ironworks’s Union. In 2021, Shane Hoban started the LT Paul Hoban fund in his late father’s honor. He planned an event for this fund, raising over $10,000 in one day for Home Base.
Shane was able to light up any room with his presence. He loved to be around people and he loved to go out of his way to make people laugh.
Shane was the beloved son of his mother MyraBeth (Warren) Hoban of Pocasset and his father, the late Paul Hoban of Quincy. He was the loving brother to his sister Rachel Hoban of Pocasset. He was the grandson of Ruth Perrone and the late Fred Perrone of Plymouth, and the late Anne and Robert Hoban of West Roxbury. He was the nephew of Paula and John Johnson of Holbrook, Melanie and Robert Malinowski of Norwell, Robert and Patricia of Needham, Mark and Julie of Norwood, and Michael and Patricia of Medfield. Additionally, Shane is survived by many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. A private burial to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LT Paul Hoban fund. The organization Shane started in his late father's name, and will continue to be carried on by his family.
