I had the pleasure of seeing Mrs.Rose every Friday .....she came to me to get her hair done and enlighten me with her wisdom. I have missed her ever since she moved and thought of her often. I did love Mrs.Rose she was a kind thoughtful person, and reminded me of my Grandmother who has passed also. She would share pictures of her son and his family & speak kind words of others. She  will always have a special place in my heart! I love ya Mrs. Rose!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family, Franklin, as you mourn the passing of your mother.  It was always like a ray of sunshine to be around Rose Marie.  She was a most striking and elegant lady in every sense, gentle in speech, and quite intelligent.  She possessed a wealth of knowledge about our Humphrey roots, and it was always a treasured adventure to share family conversation with her and learn yet more about our heritage.  She was a very sophisticated lady, and I can honestly say that I never heard an unkind word spoken by her.  

I can see that beautiful, loving smile on her face this Blessed Easter Morning as she looks down from Heaven and gently says "Sweet Peace, Be Still".  

May God grant you comfort, peace and sustaining strength as you go through this very difficult time; and know that the Humphrey Family shares in your great loss.

We were saddened to read about Rose today in the Kinston Free Press.....our thoughts and prayers are with her family she loved so much, and we enjoyed hearing her talk about all of you, especially about  Christopher and James.  My mother enjoyed talking to her and we enjoyed her friendship over the years.

I met Rose while working with Carey Oil Company in the middle '60's.  She was so sweet and soft spoken and I thought she was such a wonderful person. May this sweet lady rest in peace. My sympathy to her family.
