A loving family man
MONUMENT BEACH – Paul Justin Mosher passed away at his home in Monument Beach surrounded by his family on October¬¬ 22, 2011, at the age of 83, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret E. Mosher (Somerville), as well as his two daughters, Cindy McMahon and husband William of Londonderry, NH, and Patricia DeBoer and her husband Richard of Bourne. Paul was a loving Papa to Jennifer McMahon Boswinkel and her husband Eric, Rebecca McMahon Ford and her husband Daniel, Joseph DeBoer, Jonathan McMahon, and John DeBoer. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marie Mosher of Pocasset, widow of his older brother Robert, his sister-in-law Betty Mosher of Southington, CT, widow of his oldest brother Earl and his brother-in-law Bill Somerville of Newburgh, NY. Paul is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Born in Bangor Maine, he was the third son of Earl Stanley Mosher and Mary Dorothy Moonan. The family moved to Bristol, Connecticut during the depression where they made their home. Paul entered the Air Force in 1950 and served for twenty years. During this time, he spent two four-year tours in Germany, earning the Air Medal while flying 260 highly critical missions of national significance. During the Vietnam War he also spent a year serving in Korat, Thailand. A military assignment to Otis Air Force Base brought his family to Cape Cod. Upon his retirement from the Air Force he began a second twenty-year career with the Colonial Gas Company. He and his wife Margaret were very fortunate to spend twenty wonderful retirement years enjoying their motor home(s) and many wonderful trips with family and special friends.

Visiting hours at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will take place at the Bourne United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00am, with burial following at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
