Patricia Ann MacKinnon

Patricia (Foster) MacKinnon, age 77 of Hanover, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in New Haven, CT and was raised and educated in Boston, Massachusetts. She had lived in Hanover for over 54 years. She was a homemaker and as a younger woman worked in the Rockland Trust Company banking system. Pat was completely devoted to her family and leaves a legacy of love, strength and kindness. She enjoyed summers at the beach house, boating, water skiing, gardening and travelling.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Colin F. MacKinnon, Jr., of Hanover; cherished mother of Karen Brady and her husband George of Sagamore Beach; Robert Venable and his wife Kimberley of Wareham; Michael MacKinnon and his fiancée Valerie Notaro of Hanson, devoted grandmother to Michael Tanso and his wife Christine; John Venable; Ryan, Molly and Kelsey MacKinnon; and great grandmother to Eric Tanso. Pat leaves her loving brother James Foster of West Roxbury, nephew John Foster of West Roxbury and niece Dianne Burke of Virginia.

Pat will be remembered most for her great love of and dedication to her family, her sense of humor and her love of life.

At her request, services will remain private. Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to VNA of Cape Cod Hospice, 255 Independence Drive, Hyannis, MA.
