Kathleen N. Kelley

She was the daughter of Dr. Samuel J. and Nora H. Galbo. Kathleen was born in Montague City, MA and raised in Shelburne Falls, MA. She graduated from Maria Assumpta Academy and the Chandler School for Women in Boston.

Kathleen was formerly employed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory and also the National Guard Association of Massachusetts. For several years she owned KNK Typing Service in Pocasset. She was a member of the St. John’s Women’s Guild; a former Cub Scout Den Mother; a former Bourne School Volunteer and a former member of the Otis Civilian Advisory Council.

Survivors include her husband, Col. (Ret.) Michael D. Kelley of Pocasset; son, Michael C. and daughter-in-law Colleen Kelley of Pocasset; two grandchildren, Madigan and Sean Kelley of Pocasset; her sister, Mary Randolph of Pennsylvania; her brother, Samuel J. Galbo, Jr. of Virginia; nieces Mary, Samantha and Rebecca and nephew John. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Galbo and niece Kathy.

A funeral mass is scheduled at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pocasset, on January 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30pm.

It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
