I can't believe a year has gone by since Karl's
passing.  My heart sinks when I drive by the house every day and see it empty. Always remembering him walking slowly to the mail box in his overall blue jeans and waving. Many wonderful conversations. Eleanor, his wife passed 3 months later. We never missed a holiday or birthday on both. We miss them so much! Love you both.

Our hearts are filled with such sadness upon learning that Karl has passed away.   We have known the Deuberts for over 40 years, initially via church.  My children grew up knowing their kindness, care and generosity.  We, too, knew their "don't get old" phrase, always shared with a gentle smile or chuckle.  They were like family to us, especially to me (Lorraine), and they always felt like part of my German heritage and family.  Karl and I shared the same birthday, as well.    We will miss him greatly but know  joy that he is with the Lord.  Karl and Eleonor put Christ front and center every day so we can rejoice in knowing he is with Him in peace.  We are so thankful that he and Eleonor were part of our lives.  
Psalm 34:18. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
"The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down." (Psalm 145:14)

Karl was a dear neighbor and friend for 32 years and his wife Eleanor.  There favorite saying was " Don't get old!!
Both lived life in a simple manner. They loved animals; especially dogs. I miss him going out to get the mail in the morning and waving. Karl was a scientist that worked for Makepeace Cranberry Division.  We truly miss him, his wisdom and his friendship.
