Joseph was born in Attleboro, MA, on December 30, 1945, to the late J. Harry Condon and Miriam Bowen Condon. Joseph was the brother of Geraldine Lavery and the late Judith Goetz, Sister Sean Condon, RSM, and Miriam “Mim” Condon. He was the husband of Ann Williams Condon and the father of John Condon and his partner Alysa, Elizabeth Poirier and her husband Ryan, and the grandfather of Zachary Poirier. Joseph was predeceased by his son David Condon. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Joseph grew up in Attleboro and was a graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School in Taunton and St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.
Joseph raised his family in Attleboro, Massachusetts, where he was an active community member, serving on the Board of Directors for the Blue Fish Swim Club and the Attleboro Chapter of the American Red Cross. He also served on the City Of Attleboro License Board.
Joseph proudly served his county as an Air Force Captain in the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Rhode Island National Guard. He was the recipient of several honors, including the Bronze Star for meritorious service.
In his later years, Joseph was an avid photographer, Bourne Braves Baseball fan, and never missed his grandson, Zachary’s, baseball games.
A memorial service will be held on November 12th at 12:30 pm at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne with burial following at the Bourne National Cemetery.
