Jason “Jay” Michael Stafford passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022. Jason was born December 31, 1969 to William Stafford and Diane (Vaillancourt) Stafford in Albany, New York. Jason recently resided in North Attleboro, MA.
Jason worked as a technician assembler for iAutomation Solutions. He attended Colchester High School in Colchester, VT, served in the Vermont National Guard, as well as five years in the Army as an ammunitions specialist for the Apache helicopter.
After his military service, he attended the University of Vermont in nursing and transferred to St. John’s University in New York City and completed the Physician’s Assistant (PA) program. Following his graduation he completed the certification to be a PA.
While studying at St. John’s he worked on rescue and recovery at “Ground Zero” World Trade Center with the NY Fire Department.
Jason enjoyed the outdoors and loved riding and fixing bicycles and more recently he could be found fishing. When he was not outdoors, you could find him learning new musical instruments, trying to teach others how to play guitar, and listening to his favorite bands. He also enjoyed following Boston sports.
He is survived by his parents, William and Diane Stafford of Bourne, MA. his brother Christopher Stafford his wife Amber Stafford of Kirkland, WA. his sister Laurie (Stafford) Earley, her husband James Earley, and their daughter Aspen Earley of Chico, CA.
A visitation will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, located at 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 8:30 to 9:30AM, followed by a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pocasset, MA at 10:00AM. A burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery at 12:30PM.
