Bourne- James Malcolm (Mal) Coady of Monument Beach died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from complications of cancer, at the age of 85.
He was the husband of Lucile Stall Coady of Monument Beach. Born in Braintree, MA, he was the son of the late Kempton and Emma Coady of Monument Beach, MA. He was raised in Bourne and graduated from Bourne High School. He served during World War II and the Korean War. He graduated from Duke University and had a distinguished career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After retirement from the FBI, he practiced law as an attorney in Newport, RI. He enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and family gatherings. Besides his beloved wife “Celie” ,he is survived by four children and their spouses; Beth and Guillermo Lopez of Springfield, MA, Faith and Al Kolodziejski of Falmouth, MA, James and Melanie Coady of New Market, MD, and Candace and Chester Miller of Norwich, VT. He had 8 grandchildren, 6 great -grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St.Barnabas Memorial Church, Main Street, Falmouth, MA, on Friday, November 9th, at 1:00 p.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Sandwich, MA, will follow.
