Gary Joseph Simpson

Born in Worcester, MA a son of Joseph Earl Simpson and Mary Ireno O’Brien Simpson. A decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corp; he served in the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and Navy Commenation Medal along with many others.

Gary worked for the Sandwich Fish Hatchery and the United States Post Office for many years. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Bonnie Simpson Pimental and her husband Brad Pimental, his son Michael Simpson and his wife Lisa Simpson, his daughter Heather Simpson. He also is survived by his grandchildren Samantha, Henry, Jared, Justin, Kelsey, and Delilah and great grand children Lucien and Jada.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday April 27th, 2018 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, MA. Visitation prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Bourne VFW Post 5988, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and The Patriot Guard Riders.
