Eugenia May

Eugenia Helen May passed away on July 27th at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility at the age of 83. Jeannie, as she was known to most, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 24, 1930. She graduated from St. Petersburg Jr. College where she met her future husband Bob. Jeannie spent the first 23 years of her marriage as a dedicated Air Force wife, raising seven children and seeing her family through many, many moves. Upon her husband’s Air Force retirement, she settled her family in Bourne, MA where she had lived for the past 44 years. Jeannie is survived by her children Kathleen Audette and husband Ronald of Plymouth, MA; Karen Lydon and husband Steven of Plymouth, MA; Barbara Staake and husband Craig of Seattle,W A; Bob May Jr. and wife Corey of Plymouth, MA; Sgt. Major William May and wife Britta of Kempner, TX; Jennifer Ciliberto-Colella and husband Scott Colella of Sandwich, MA; Deborah Hathaway and husband Chuck of Sagamore, MA. Jeannie was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Bob who passed away in February of this year and her son in law Vincent Ciliberto Jr. Jeannie enjoyed playing blackjack, cruising the world with her husband Bob and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, musician and fantastic cook. Jeannie was also known for her love of animals, and because of this, her family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130 or by visiting http://support.mspca.org/goto/Jeannie_May. Visiting hours will be held Friday August 2nd from 11 to noon followed by a memorial service at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne. A private burial will be held at a later date.
