Ernest W. Dechene Jr.

Born in Dorchester, MA, he was the son of the late Ernest W. and Pauline (Crosby) Dechene.

Mr. Dechene had worked as a journeyman lineman for 49 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 104.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Kimberli Edwards and her husband Vincent of Sandwich, MA, Laurie DeBarros and her husband David of Wareham, MA and Traci Davies and her husband Robert of Hudson, NH; siblings, Virginia Birdsong and her husband Frank of Chester, VA; Margaret Rogers of Chesterfield, VA; Anne Dixon Bronson, FL; and Paul Dechene of Everett, WA; grandchildren, Deion DeBarros, Caitlyn Kearney, Brianna Kearney, Gavin Edwards, Casey Davies, Jessica Davies, Kelly Davies and Matthew Davies. He was the brother of the late David Dechene and grandfather of the late Daniel DeBarros.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Church 141 Main Street Buzzards Bay. Interment in Oakland Grove Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to IBEW Local 104 Brotherhood Fund 130 West Street Walpole, MA 02081.
