David M. Bergh, 60, of Pocasset, MA, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston due to heart complications. He was predeceased by his mom and dad; Eva Marie (Ames) and Carl Gustav Bergh.
He served in the United States Air Force for seven years. Until his death, David was employed by the Army Corp of Engineers as an electronic technician. Before that his military career included Pave Paws Radar Station, Otis Air Force Base and Coast Guard Group Woods Hole.
He also graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1973 in Bristol, Connecticut. David was a gourmet cook in his spare time. He supplemented his income by working part-time at local restaurants. He loved making salads with produce grown in his garden that he tended with his wife.
He was also a member of the West Falmouth United Methodist Church in West Falmouth, MA. His hobbies included fishing, camping and metal detecting. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
David is survived by his loving wife Margaret “Magy” (Osborn) Bergh of Pocasset, his sister Patricia Roy of Rocky Hill, Connecticut, a daughter Bethani Lynn of Falmouth, MA and Dalyn Marie of Lemon Grove, CA, along with grandchildren, Kalyn Rose and Juliet Lynn Romero. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Friday, June 10, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. A Memorial of David’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. after the burial at Midway Picnic Area on Sandwich Road in Bourne.
