Clement L. Boyajian, 89, of Buzzards Bay, MA and Englewood, FL, passed away surrounded by his loving family at McCarthy Care Center, Sandwich, MA on Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was born in New York City on May 15, 1927 to Levon and Flora (Dermenjian) Boyajian.
Raised in Schenectady, NY, he graduated with honors from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1945 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He later enrolled in the ROTC program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduated 1951 with honors in Electrical Engineering and became a Professional Engineer. He was commissioned by the U.S. Navy, stationed in Newport, RI, and served as a Naval Gunnery Officer aboard the USS Brownson (DD-868), 1952-53. He was later employed by the General Electric Co, Research and Development in Schenectady, NY, Johnson City, NY, and Erie, PA. He later became Vice President of Research and Development at MTI in Latham, NY. Throughout his life he enjoyed singing, sailing, skiing, gardening, and playing tennis. He, along with his wife, Joan, enjoyed playing tennis with friends in Falmouth, MA and in Englewood, FL until age 87.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 yrs, Joan (Powers) Boyajian, his four children, Terry Freeman of Honolulu, HI, Pamela Gardner of Concord, MA, Susan Boyajian of Marion, MA, and John Boyajian of Plymouth, MA, and his 6 grandchildren, Katie Hourihan, Ryan Freeman, Jack Gardner, Kristina Boyajian, Ava Boyajian, and Levin Boyajian. He also leaves his sister, Grace Brown, and his niece Kathy Lowery, and his nephew David Brown.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honor and remembrance on Thursday, Dec 1, 2016, with visiting hours from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., in Bourne, MA to be followed by military funeral honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 1:00 PM.
