Christopher Warren Joy

April 23, 1984 - November 29, 2022

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved Christopher, age 38 of Bourne, On November 29, 2022.

Christopher was born on April 23, 1984 and grew up in Sagamore Beach. He was the beloved son of Jane Sorenti of Pocasset and Richard W. Joy of Buzzards Bay.

Christopher was loved dearly by all, and touched many hearts with his kindness and selflessness of

giving to others. Anyone who was close to Chris knew what a huge heart he had, always ready to lend a hand to someone in need. Chris had a great sense of humor, he loved to work. He was a building contractor at the time of his death. Chris was smart, and loved keeping up on sports and world events. He loved his large extended family, numerous aunts, uncles, and 36 cousins.

In addition to his parents, Christopher was predeceased by his older brother, Richard and is survived by his younger brothers, Matthew B. Joy and Jeffrey F. Joy, both of Bourne and his nephew Matthew B. Joy, Jr. He leaves behind his maternal grandparents Joseph F. and Mary L. Sorenti of Sagamore Beach and his paternal grandmother, Lorraine E. Joy of Florida.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4PM to 8PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne, MA 02532. His Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Road, Pocasset. Interment is private.
