As a child, Barry spent time in orphanages and foster homes. Life was hard. He overcame that and still he was a good and helpful person. When he got older, he enjoyed sports and was not ashamed to work hard. He worked for the Massachusetts State Highway Department in a variety of services. He excelled in whatever he did. Later, in the steel and coating industry, he served as a consultant and inspector for many years all over the country. People knew him everywhere. What was most important to him was helping others. He was always doing something for somebody whether family, friend or stranger. He had a good sense of humor. Above all he loved his children and grandchildren. He was thrilled when they developed skill in sports, which he actively helped them to do. He wanted his family to stick together, help one another and make good choices.
