Teresa Elizabeth Myers passed away February 4, 2022 at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, CO after a brief illness. She was 78. Terry was born November 15, 1943 in Evanston, IL, to Frederick and Louise (Barrow) Buzan.
She attended New Trier Township High School in Winnetka, IL, where she met her future husband, Douglas Edward Myers. They graduated in 1961. Terry went on to attend Bradley University in Peoria, IL for a brief period before moving to Pasadena, CA. Terry and Doug were married November 30, 1963. They resided in Pasadena, CA and Los Gatos, CA, before relocating to Boulder, CO in 1968.
Terry and Doug established The Hallelujah Ranch, raising, breeding, and showing purebred Arabian horses. Terry was an accomplished horsewoman, and excelled in Western Trail riding. Doug and Terry spent their time living in Boulder, CO, Vail, CO, and Maui, HI.
Terry had a life-long passion for gourmet cooking. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, scrabble, and Star Trek.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Christopher David Buzan, of Lakewood, CO. She is survived by her former husband, Douglas (Karen) Myers, of Lafayette, CO, Terry’s three children, Margaret Page (Travis) Myers, of Denver, CO, Dawn Myers Ned, of Boulder, CO, and Melanie Rachel (Chad) Myers, of Broomfield, CO. She is also survived by three grand-children, Lane Montgomery Reimer, of Broomfield, CO, Téa Kioko Ned, of Broomfield, CO, and Mena Marie Ned, of Broomfield, CO.
The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to either the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation or the Colorado Horse Rescue.
