Roger Charles Wade was born in New York City on January 16, 1940. He spent his early childhood in Lockport, New York. Eventually his family moved to Rochester where he completed high school.
Roger received a bachelors degree from Geneseo State College in New York State. He then earned a PhD in sociology at the University of Colorado. He helped found the Women's Clinic of Boulder which is still in operation. He worked for seven years at the US Commission on Civil Rights. Roger retired as a professor of sociology from Metropolitan State College in Denver.
Roger enjoyed conversation, baseball, golfing, reading, hiking and travel. He had many wonderful friends all over the country.
Roger died in the care of hospice on June 16, 2017.
