Bob trapped muskrats and sold the pelts to pay for his first car, a small green convertible. He started working at Public Service in 1967 when he was 22. He worked at Public Service for 33 years. Bob always said he was the luckiest man in the world because he had an outside job and loved what he did.
He and Carol found their “not so perfect home” in Louisville, Colorado. There, he refined his carpentry skills, remodeling, and remodeling, and remodeling his remodeling.
They raised their wonderful family, Bob Jr, Kimmie, and son Troy in the same house for 43 years, as well as being blessed with the opportunity of helping raise 2 beautiful grandchildren. Moving to Broomfield was the hardest decision because Louisville was where their hearts were.
At one time it was a four generation home. Bob was always happy with the hustle and bustle of weddings, babies, and change.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved anything he could do outdoors from hiking, dirt biking, bungee jumping, skydiving and snow skiing.
He loved to joke around and loved his friends and family. He had one inside hobby: pool shooting. Bob and Troy bought their first pool table in 1990. From that point on, he was hooked. He was captain of multiple pool teams including family and friends, even taking teams to Las Vegas for the American Pool Association competitions. He and Carol spent 29 years enjoying camaraderie playing pool with old and new friends. They were even competitive with each other on their table at home.
Bob and Carol did extensive traveling in their RV only missing Alaska. His trip of a lifetime was to the Orient for almost 2 months.
Many great memories were made while helping kids and grandkids with remodeling and tasks at hand.
Bob is survived by his wife Carol, Sister Billy, 3 brothers and a sister by marriage, his daughter Kim, 2 sons Troy and Bob Jr, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Bob gave his heart to the Lord in September of 1980 -- what a wonderful day, Heaven rejoiced and so did his family.
God took him home, peacefully, October 18th at 8:00 AM.
Well done thy good and faithful servant.
