Patricia W. Jordan of Boulder, Colorado died Wednesday September 29, 2010 of breast cancer at her home. She was 69. Patricia was born September 18, 1941 to Arthur Ellis Williams and Ovada (Higginbotham) Williams in Lexington, Kentucky. She attended and graduated from Shades Valley High School in Birmingham, Alabama. Patricia married Bill Jordan in 1959 in Birmingham, AL. In 1972 they moved to Boulder and raised their two daughters Jennifer and Laura. Patricia and Bill divorced in 1989. She was a self-employed massage therapist, a yoga instructor and offered other healing treatments. Patricia loved spending time in the mountains hiking and camping, taking road trips with her grandchildren and friends, and working in her beloved gardens. She was also a talented artist and writer. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her grandchildren who lovingly called her Pisha. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2009, Patricia had 14 beautiful months to spend with her family and her many, many friends. Patricia is survived by her two daughters Jennifer Hohlfelder (Andrew), Laura Pittman (Brooks) of Boulder and Broken Arrow, OK, her mother Ovada Higginbotham of Boulder and Birmingham, AL, and five grandchildren: Jordan and Morgan Hohlfelder of Boulder; Zach, Jake and Maddy Pittman of Broken Arrow, OK. Her father, Arthur, and her former husband, Bill, preceded Patricia in death. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2-3 pm, Tuesday October 5th at the Nomad Playhouse Theatre, 1410 Quince Ave. in Boulder, with a reception following at Patricia’s home.
