Pat was born in New Mexico April 20, 1937. She passed away October 4th, 2022 at her Boulder home of fifty-two years with her daughter and husband by her side “talking her home”.
Pat grew up in Colorado Springs graduating from Colorado Springs high school. She then went to CU Boulder, she said, to get her Mrs. Degree. And she did, when she met and married Wesley Beery in 1957. He worked for the Bureau of Standards in Boulder while Pat worked to create a happy home for him and their three children. She was so grateful she got to be a stay-at-home mom.
In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Pat was very artistic, she could draw and paint, but her passion was knitting with knitting machines through which she made unique and creative sweaters and such. She would knit during the day when nobody was home because the sound of the carriage sliding across the row of needles was louder than the TV, so said her family. Then in the evening she would stitch together the knitted pieces toward something beautiful. She also was a talented quilter. She made a quilt for one daughter, Edith, with pictures from her years in the Skip-Its and for her other daughter, Beth, she made a beautiful quilt, which if you look closely, you’ll see memories written in permanent marker. She also enjoyed needle point and counted cross stitch, which she and Wes did together. She was also a plant whisperer and the plants in her house always flourished with delight and glee. They will miss her too.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Idelle Dallison, and survived by her husband Wes, her children Greg, Beth and Edith (Larry) Burch and her brother Richard Dallison (Merle) and a niece Marion (Bill) Moxley and a nephew Justin Dallison (LuAnn)
