Nettie Lucille Rooks, born February 14, 1928, passed November 10, 2022. She enjoyed a long life growing up in Louisville, Colorado then moving to Boulder, Colorado when she married Delbert (Curly) Chapman Rooks June 27, 1948. Her and Curly had two kids, Phyllis Ann, and Richard Delbert. In 1958 the family moved to their home in north Boulder where she lived for 62 years until she moved to assisted living three years ago. In addition to being a homemaker she was a telephone operator and later at the phone store until her retirement. She is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Her home was often the site of family gatherings where Nettie saw to it that everyone was welcomed. Her and her brothers and sisters and their spouses got together most every Friday to go out to dinner, this continued until they had passed. Nettie is preceded by her husband Delbert, her twin sister Nellie, and her brothers and sisters LaVern, Mildred, Marjorie and Harry Jr. also her daughter Phyllis. She is survived by her son Richard, Phyllis's children Michelle, Christopher, Jennifer, and Annette, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, and 16 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Nettie will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO 80301. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301.
