It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Scott Fox. Michael passed away on May 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. His departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled, but his memory and legacy will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
Born to Robert and Gail Fox on June 20, 1960 in Lansing, MI. He moved with his family to Boulder, CO at age 9 and attended Mesa Elementary, Southern Hills Middle School, Fairview High School and graduated from The University of Colorado at Boulder. He was a true Boulder local and loved his town and community!
Michael was a beacon of kindness, curiosity and adventurous spirit. He was an energetic, positive-minded man who never met a stranger. Michael was the life of the party and loved his family and friends passionately. Throughout his 63 years, he touched countless lives with his generosity and warm friendly heart. A devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend, Michael's love for his family was evident in everything he did. His dedication to his loved ones was unwavering and his greatest joy came from the moments he spent with them.
Michael was a man of many talents and passions. A dedicated professional in his career, he was admired for his integrity, diligence and commitment. Outside of work he was an avid skier, scuba diver, golfer, live music enthusiast and world traveler. His laughter and joy was infectious and he had a unique ability to make everyone around him feel special and cherished. He is survived by his loving wife Gayle, children Hayden, Oakley, and Ashton, mother Gail, father Bob, brother Dan (Gina), and sister Michelle (Brook).
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on June 7, 2024 from 2-4pm at Chautauqua Dining Hall.

Michael loved God and practiced his Christian faith honestly and without reservation. There is comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with our Lord as we mourn his passing. Rest in Peace, dear Michael. You will be forever missed and eternally loved.
