Lawrence D McCarty

Lawrence D. McCarty was born September 23, 1928 in Denver, CO to Ivan and Edith McCarty and died October 31, 2016 in Boulder, CO. Lawrence enlisted in the Army in 1946 and served overseas in Korea at the end of World War II. He attended the University of Denver and earned a B.A. in Business. Lawrence married Ruth Davidson March 23, 1952 in Denver, Colorado. They were married for 64 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Lawrence had a long career in the grocery business and spent 12 years as a grocery store manager for Albertson’s.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Edith; and son-in-law Doug McCallister. He is survived by his wife Ruth; children Dan (Diane) McCarty, Sue (John) Roskey, Barb McCallister, and Donna (Dan) Ewing; grandchildren, Jeff Roskey, Kimberly Berg, Kristin McCarty, Alicia McCarty, Rachel McCarty, Sam Ewing; and 4 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, November 4 at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Pl., Boulder, CO. Burial will follow the service at Louisville Cemetery, 2105 Empire Rd., Louisville, CO.
