Geraldine (Jerry) Lorene Moore passed from her earthly life, in her home in Blue Mountain Estates, in Golden, Colorado, on January 8, 2025. She was born and raised in a multi-generational homestead and farm in Junction City, Oregon. She grew to be a scholar attending Lewis and Clark College on a scholarship, attaining a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Teaching. She went on to achieve a Masters in Library Science, from the University of Washington in Seattle, attesting to her lifelong love of books and reading. Jerry married in 1956 and was married for 64 years. She moved with her husband and two young children to Colorado in 1964. In the 1970 she and her husband built a house and home in the foothills of Colorado, where she continued to live amongst the mountains and wildlife she so enjoyed until her passing. Jerry was an avid traveler, and as she was married to a commercial pilot, she had an open door to traveling the world with family in tow. Planning adventures to faraway lands is a special legacy she imparted to her children, and to those she met along the way with cherished memories and friendships. Jerry was committed to volunteer work and served with dedication within: The Presbyterian Church, the community of Blue Mountain Estates, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where she worked as volunteer for 20 years. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Moore, and is survived by her son Glenn, her daughter Susan (Elizabeth), and her brother Duane Hofer. She is loved, she is missed, and she is remembered as a strong woman of accomplishment and faith
