She is survived by her husband, her son and her daughter. Gail was born in Massapequa, New York. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was in the US Air Force. As a result of her father's work, her family lived in many different places across the world and in the US.
Some of Gail's first memories were of being strapped to the back of her nanny in Morocco, and the beautiful toys she received at Christmas time in Germany. She also frequently regaled her family with stories of the fun and freedoms she enjoyed while playing with friends on the air force base in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. When her father retired, her family settled in Sunnyvale, California, which is where eventually she met her husband Bruce. They married in 1980 and soon after moved to Colorado, which is where they raised their two children. The adventures that Gail had as a child fueled a flame for adventure in her.
Later in life, Gail enjoyed traveling with her family, especially her daughter. They spent months in Asia, Europe, and Central America together. Conversely, Gail was a homebody who loved to spend time drawing in coloring books and taking walks with her beloved dachshunds. Gail was the most caring mother and wife, always concerned for everyone's well-being before her own. She also had an imagination and a childlike spirit that filled her son and daughter's childhood's with endless enjoyment. She never missed planning elaborate birthdays and holiday celebrations with unique and creative traditions.
Gail had an ability to remain optimistic even in the most difficult situations. Even though the last 11 years of her life her health was not optimal, she was able to remain strong and find joy in her life with the people and two dogs that she loved.
Gail will be honored with the spreading in of her ashes in the places that she loved.
