Not many were more understanding, compassionate, and tolerant than her. Kindness was her outstanding trait. Those who knew her well were always aware of it. A positive attitude overcame many obstacles in her shortened life. Her good-natured personality enabled a fulfilling journey, one of quiet confidence.
She was a lover of the fashion industry, always seeking out the latest new trend. Travel and good food were additional pursuits. Crisp fall mornings that required flannel attire were a favorite, as well as the smell of rain.
Her younger brother Harry was more than a sibling, he was a close friend. His never-ending support is what family is all about. His love for his sister was immense and appreciated by her. A close bond that will last his lifetime and beyond.
A 2007 graduate of Niwot High School and a student of the University of Pittsburgh Fashion Program, Elise became the area manager for John’s Cleaners stores. She often referred to her work as a second family with John being very supportive of her.
She leaves us with an example, a reminder to us all what a good life is.
Elise will forever be remembered by her immediate family members – her mother Linda Highfill, father Greg Highfill and step-mother Lori Highfill, brother Harry J Highfill II, and step-siblings Mark and Dana Mastrangelo. She leaves behind her close companion Red, her devoted Pomeranian.
